    2006 USKA World Championships

     
     
    2 Students Nick Kafont and Matt Fach along with Mr. Crothers and Mr. Mr. attended the USKA 2006 World Championships.
     
    Results
    Matt    1st in 14-17 Weapons, 1st in 16-17 Kata, 4th in 16-17 Kumite
     
    Nick     1st in 14-15 Kata, 1st in 14-15 Kumite
     
    Sensei  1st in Black Belt Weapons and Kata, 3rd in Sparring.  Sensei Finished 2nd in the Grand for both Kata and Weapons.  Dominic Laureano from Riverside won the Kata and Donnie Michael from Indiana won the Weapons Grand fro the 7th year in a row.
    Wait till next year.....
    Also Sensei Jeff was on the winning team in team fighting.
     
    We also attended the Annual banquet for the 2005-2006 point year.  Matt Fach finished 1st in Kata and 2nd in sparring.  Matt gave a fine acceptance speech.
     
    August Slivnik finished 1st in Adult Kyu Weapons and 2nd in Sr. Kyu Sparring

    Victoria Tabor 2nd in 12-13 Sparring, 8th in 12-13 Kata
    William Morton 7th in 10-11 Sparring, 9th in 10-11 Kata
    Madison Maler 5th in 10-11 Kata
    Zachary Middaugh 3rd in 10-11 Sparring, 7th in 10-11 Kata
    Kimberly Noland 3rd in 8-9 Sparring and 2nd in 8-9 Kata
    Corey Slivnik 9th in 8-9 Forms
     
     
    Sensei 6th in Black Belt Men Kata, and 7th in Black Belt Weapons
    Our School was 7th in the Nation in points
    Our Instructor was 7th in the nation in points.
     
    You have to join the USKA to be rated in points. 
     
    Overall this was an incredible year and a great way to celebrate at the annual banquet.
    Congratulations to all those tournament competitors and their families.  You make us proud to teach you.
     
    Next Tournament September 16th in Perris, Ca .  Lets support Dominic Laureano as he hosts his first tournament.   Point chasers need to attend as well.
